If you are seeking more than just a taste of the adventure with a husky team, if you would like to spend the day in their company and exploring the wild nature of Northern Sweden in a unique way and eat local delicacies by the campfire, then this is the tour for you!
After meeting our husky pack at the kennel, we will harness the excited dogs together, pack the carts (off snow rigs we use instead of sleds) with snacks and head out into the woods for a couple of hours of dog mushing (dog team driving) and enjoying the beautiful fall colors as well as the the touch of wilderness that we drive deeper into.
We will make a few short stops along the way for the huskies to take a little break to drink fresh water from the creeks, and for us to take pictures, pick a handful of berries for a refreshing snack or to change drivers of the team in case you would like to take turns.
At about the halfway point we will stop for a short fika break to drink a cup of hot berry syrup, tea or coffee and enjoy a home baked pastry.
Once back at the farm you can help us feed the dogs and unharness them and then head out to the warm and cozy campfire where lunch will be served.
Our meals consist usually of a nice warm soup and home baked bread or wild meat prepared over the fire, as well as artisan cheese and smoked reindeer and moose meat with berry jams and other traditional Nordic delicacies. The food we serve is authentic, locally sourced and sustainable.
You can check out our little shop for unique handcrafted souvenirs and gifts before your departure.
