Is This Experience For Me?
Autumn in the northern part of Sweden is a beautiful time of the year, but it can already be very cold or wet.
While the spectacular colors of falling leaves, the plentiful mushrooms and berries in the forest, and the mirror-like still waters of the lakes are a big part of the autumn experience here, mud, rain, frosty nights, and even snowfall may be another equally big part of your stay.
Please note that we will train and take care of the dogs in all sorts of weather, as long as it is healthy and safe for both humans and canines. The only weather that would prevent us from training would be wind storms (that present a danger of falling trees) and temperatures that reach over the dogs' comfort levels and that can be potentially dangerous for the huskies in terms of overheating. In such case, we may need to adjust the program and head out for a training run late in the evening or very early in the morning.
Dog mushing is certainly the cherry on the cake, but this adventure isn't just a dogsled tour: It is a real life, raw experience of training, living with, and taking care of huskies on a remote settlement in the wild Jämtland nature, where you will gain and sharpen your skills in dog mushing as well as learn a thing or two about yourself, and detox from the hustle of daily life as a bonus.
