On this full day tour we will hike through the wilderness up to our local mountain called Rusfjället at the gate of Hotagen nature reserve.

When you arrive to our husky farm, you will get to meet our entire pack, we will go over the equipment and plan for the tour, load our husky hiking companions to the car and head out to the starting point.

The huskies will not only pull us, but will also carry their own doggy-backpacks with snacks and supplies.

The hike starts on a forest road with a gradual climb up towards the mountain and you will experience the rugged beauty of this area far away from civilization.

We will hike through marshes with pine forest filled with berries that we can pick along the way, boulders on the lake shores, where we can watch birds and the silent beauty around us and reach a typical northern swedish mountain top.

After a little snack break we will hike back to one of the lakes where we will cook coffee and a traditional swedish meal over a campfire.

For those interested we can also make a tea from wild herbs foraged during our adventure.

A dip in the crystal clear waters is not just refreshing, but one of the most popular experiences of this hike among our guests. You can also try your hand at fishing for a mountain trout.

The total walking distance of this tour is approximately 15km and is of light difficulty, hoever you should be able to walk ca 7km uphill and through a variating terrain.

Coffee/tea and home made cake will be served on the farm before your departure.
